I am fascinated by ‘space’. We are able to look at space from a molecular (micro) perspective as well as on a (macro) level. Reading some of the current academic material available on Quantum physics and Superstring theory gave me an insight into what our modern understanding of space is. Through this research I began reading about electron colliders. Although Quantum physics and Superstring theory are complex mathematical theories, electron colliders allow us to see minute details. I have painted a series based on my aesthetic interpretations of what I have read.
I translate my feelings directly into my artwork. For example my painting SuperNova 898: The feeling it depicts is being so close to the sun. The searing heat creates a bliss of colours, that shine like an orgasm, and glow with satisfaction.
