Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Chinese artist Chun Tang has painted since the age of 15. In Saigon he taught portraiture at Art School although he has never had any formal training in painting. Australian authorioties welcomed him as an immigrant in 1981 because he was an Artist and a teacher of Kung Fu.

Today Sifu Chun Tang paints, teaches Kung Fu, and has a vegetarian restaurant in the Renaissance Arcade, Adelaide.
