Maxine paints to bring beauty and energy into people’s homes and offices. Her paintings touch the deeper psyche of her buyers. Maxine is one of Australia’s up and coming artists.

"Art is an avenue of bringing the beauty and energies of the world into an image for people to gain insight into their lives”. Maxine Taylor believes that art can uplift people and inspire them to aim higher in their lives. Maxine paints with vibrant colours and puts a lot of emotion into whatever genre of art she is painting. As a contemporary artist, Maxine’s paintings are eclectic. She has a women’s series of art which depicts the emotional insights that women hold as they travel through their lives. Maxine also paints nudes, still life and abstract art.

Maxine was born in Matamata New Zealand. She studied Visual and Applied arts and due to her blossoming talents, was awarded the Young Designer Award in Wakatio in 1981. Maxine worked at the New Zealand Women’s Weekly as a graphic artist and eventually immigrated to Australia in 1984. She settled in the picturesque Adelaide hills in Littlehampton.

As an artist, Maxine has exhibited widely. Her work has been shown in places such as the Paddington Gallery and the Bottland Gallery of Modern Art in Sydney. In her hometown of Adelaide, she has exhibited in the Adelaide Fringe Festival Exhibition, Greenhill Art Gallery, Hahndorf Academy, Petaluma’s Bridgewater Mill and in the Adelaide Hills Art Affair. Maxine was also asked to participate in the Hans Heysen Festival and the Adelaide Festival. Overseas, she was also presented at the Ternecula Art Gallery in California, USA.
