| ARTIST
Yvonne Dalton Yvonne is a textile worker. "I am interested in landscape interpretation in all my works; be it the cloth assemblages or body casts. The landscape I see is usually feminine, a mother earth, a reflection of time - of birth, rebirth and decay. The textiles I use are mostly of natural origin; such as cotton, wool and linen. I use any fibre that I find in my environment for this adds to my textural range, and /or form of a fabric when couched. I use the local scrub block to source the dyes for altering surface colour. During all stages of my art practice, I am mindful of the earth's fragility and transience." |
