Sculpture in Adelaide Businesses
Tactile experiences for modern offices.
Roland Weight's 'Seagull'
We have quite a few artists who specialise in creating sculptures, but we must admit that, as stunning as they are, not many clients have the space for them in their offices. This shouldn’t be terribly surprising, considering how space-conscious businesses are these days, but it’s truly a shame when a client simply can’t take many (or any) sculptures due to space constraints.
Tim Thomson's 'Man and Dog'
Which is why we were thrilled when our latest client, Beach Energy, decided to incorporate some sculptures into their exhibit for their office – and by some, we mean five. In fact, they even rearranged their reception area to accommodate them.
Tim Thomson's 'Girl With a Wheel'
One issue with paintings is that they’re quite easy to damage, which of course limits your experience of them – you don’t want to get too close, and touching them is certainly right out. With sculptures, a whole new way of experiencing the artwork opens up. As most of our sculptures are pretty robust and can stand up to some curiosity, they can be touched and felt. Bronzes incorporate different textures, and our sculptor Tim Thomson’s newer pieces are even designed to be viewed in movement; you can give them a little nudge and see how they react.
Roland Weight's 'Stick Nest' and Tim Thomson's 'Man in a Ring'
The majority of our sculpture pieces are freestanding, which means that you can put them anywhere, provided there’s enough room for people not to walk into them, since they don’t tend to give way! This makes viewing sculpture a fun exploration as you can walk around them and check them out from all sorts of weird angles (360° of angles, even). Sculptures also provide ART LOGIC’s curators extensive flexibility for artistic arrangements.
Tim Thomson's 'Seesaw'
All in all, being able to bring an entirely different viewing experience to our client is immensely rewarding, and we’re not even the ones who’ll be able to admire (and touch) the sculptures all day!
