The best ‘No-I-didn’t-forget-it-was-Mother’s-Day’ present

On the Seventh of May, ART LOGIC turned out in support of mothers everywhere, and offered pedestrians of the motherly persuasion on Norwood Parade the opportunity to have a free portrait done by one of our incredible artists!

We set up in two convenient locations, complete with some smaller easels should some of the younger members of the public wish to try their hand at putting an image of their mother on paper. Quite a few jumped at the chance, which of course made every mother smile even more.

We attracted quite a bit of attention, including a camera crew from Channel Seven, who took the time to talk to a few of our lovely subjects and get some footage of some artists of all ages hard at work. Their coverage of this event went up on the evening news and was watched by 90,000 people!

At the end of the day, we had seen a lot of happy mothers walk away with beautiful portraits, and even more happy children go on to celebrate their mothers in many different ways.
